Bob Spiers

It’s difficult to encapsulate a 50-year career into a personal bio – especially when your career has spanned all facets of Canadian Banking and even extended Internationally into Bermuda like Bob’s has. During his banking career, Bob held positions in Branch & Operations Management at all levels of the corporate ladder. 

Despite a very successful banking career, Bob found his greatest work-life satisfaction came through creating direct, personal, and successful relationships with his many contacts. Inspired by this he exited generic banking in 1993 in pursuit of the independent side of the industry, aiming to solve life’s challenges as it relates to Wealth Management.  

Co-founding the Clearwater Group gave Bob and his wife, Maureen, and their 5 children the opportunity to set roots in their home community of Winnipeg where Bob now acts as a mentor to many. He gains immeasurable satisfaction from his role in expanding the knowledge of his clients and younger peer group, who often seek out his guidance. 

When not in front of his computer or his clients, Bob can be found enjoying his growing family including 6 grandchildren, cooking, or taking in local pro sports games as a devoted season ticket holder of the Winnipeg Jets, Blue Bombers and Goldeyes. Bob is unwaveringly committed to the success of his community, his clients, and the Clearwater team and continues to showcase this support in all areas of his life and work.
